A National Geographic film crew – led by director Terri Flores (Jennifer Lopez) and cameraman Danny Rich (Ice Cube) – travels down the Amazon to find a lost indigenous tribe known as the “Shirishama.” Along the way, they rescue a stranded hunter, Paul Sarone (Jon Voight), who claims he can help them. However, Sarone’s true goal is to capture a giant green anaconda that he believes holds the key to eternal youth. One by one, the crew members are killed by the snake or by Sarone’s treachery. The survivors must use their wits to escape both the predator and the madman.
