A small gray window will appear with several tabs (Main, Test Print, Auto, etc.).

Connect your printer to the computer via a USB cable (do not use Wi-Fi). Run the Service Tool v1074.exe file. Under the section, click on "Main" .

In the tool, click under the "Clear Ink Counter" section. The printer will make a noise, and a paper will print that says " Click "EEPROM Clear" to reset all settings. Click "EEPROM" to confirm the counter is now 0. Close the software and turn off your printer.

Resetting the software tells the printer that the waste ink pads are completely empty and dry. In reality, the physical pads are still full of old ink.
