Directed by acclaimed Georgian-French filmmaker Géla Babluani, Young Stalin is one of the most anticipated international productions to emerge from Georgia. This upcoming biographical thriller adapts the 2007 novel of the same name by Simon Sebag Montefiore, chronicling the early life of Joseph Stalin as a charismatic, bank-robbing gangster leading a daring heist in pre-revolutionary Russia. The film stars Cosmo Jarvis, the lead actor from the hit series Shōgun , in the title role. Produced by Georgia's Independent Film Project (IFP) in co-production with international partners, Young Stalin began production in late 2025.
