UAD plugins are software emulations of classic analog equipment, such as compressors, equalizers, and reverbs. They're designed to replicate the sound and character of vintage gear, but with the flexibility and convenience of software. UAD plugins are developed by Universal Audio, a company founded by audio legend James Valentine (no relation to the Maroon 5 guitarist).
