This is the heart of the plugin. While a real EMT 140 only had a decay range of roughly 1 to 5 seconds, Soundtoys expanded it dramatically. At its shortest setting, it delivers a tight, almost ambience-like effect perfect for snare drums or fast vocals where a real plate would become "mushy and indistinct". At its longest, the infinity setting creates a reverb tail that never decays, leading to unique, atmospheric pads and soundscapes.
