This ambition, however, exists alongside a strong value for family. Most French women today aspire to a triple role: wife, mother, and professional. The challenge, as it is everywhere, lies in achieving a work-life balance. Work-related strain negatively impacts the private lives of more than 80% of women in France, and three out of four women still report experiencing sexist attitudes and decisions in the workplace. Despite these challenges, there is a growing movement, from grassroots protests against "rape culture" to a national strategy for a feminist foreign policy, showing that French women are actively fighting for equality and systemic change.
