The most straightforward way to is by looking at the physical hardware. Sony placed the serial number in two distinct locations depending on your model.

If you cannot read the physical sticker, you can retrieve the serial number by connecting the Vita to a computer: Connect your PS Vita to your PC using a USB cable. File Explorer (This PC/My Computer). Wait for the PlayStation(R)Vita icon to appear under "Devices and Drives." Right-click the icon and select Properties
