Historically, blueprints were drawn by physical robotic pens (pen plotters). A standard outline font would cause the pen to outline a letter and fill it in, tearing the paper or wasting ink. PSLX fonts tell the pen exactly where to make a single stroke, a legacy mechanic that still dictates modern CNC and laser-cutting pathing.
