For a $10 download from 2009, this game is a looker. M2 uses a 16-bit palette reminiscent of the Genesis, but with Mode-7 style scaling and rotation on the Wii. The backgrounds are rich: crumbling clock towers with rotating gears, haunted ship decks flooded with rain, and a ghostly forest. It runs at a butter-smooth 60fps on NTSC-U hardware (unlike the PAL version, which suffers 50hz slowdown on original Wii).
