For those unfamiliar, The Girl in the Spider's Web is the fourth installment in the globally celebrated "Millennium" book series. While the original stories were crafted by Swedish author and journalist Stieg Larsson (author of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo , The Girl Who Played with Fire , and The Hornet's Nest ), this film is based on the 2015 novel of the same name by David Lagercrantz, who continued the series after Larsson’s passing.
