  1. Hello,

I’m using a script that connecting to multiple OneView Appliances.

As an example I found your script, very usefull and nicely composed.

There one thing I’m still figuring out The $ConnectedSessions variable, how is it definied?

How can you close the sessions if the $ConnectedSessions is Null? Can you please explain?

I Want to now what the active connections are to my OneView Appliances, so I can close them all at once.

    Kind regards,

    Ronald de Bode

    1. Hello Ronald. $ConnectedSessions is a global variable defined by cmdlet Connect-OVMgmt. So when you run that cmdlet, that variable is created and filled. Or, as HPE likes to describe it:
      — The [HPEOneView.Appliance.Connection] object is stored in a global variable accessible by any caller: $ConnectedSessions.

As a best practice, I always close any open connections at the end of my scripts. I do the same for with vCenter connector connections for instance. Come to think of it, VMware has a similar variable $DefaultVIServers which holds information about all open connections to vCenter Server appliances.

I hope this answers your question.

      Kind regards, Dennis
